To increase the simplicity and value of nbn® Sky Muster® Plus internet plans, nbn will discontinue its Sky Muster Plus ‘Unmetered’ plans in March.

‘Unmetered’ plans have been superseded by nbn Sky Muster Plus Premium, Powered by nbn Sky Muster Plus, which includes an Unlimited Data Allowance* for all online activities… all day, every day!

Three nbn Sky Muster Plus Premium plans are available, starting at $59 monthly.

Suppose you’re using one of the nbn Sky Muster Plus ‘Unmetered’ plans.

In that case, we’ll automatically migrate you to the Premium plan that most closely matches your current monthly price. You’ll have received an email with specific details.

Goodbye to ‘Unmetered’ Plans

The ‘Unmetered’ nbn Sky Muster Plus plans, which offered an unmetered data allowance for all online activities except Video Streaming and VPN use from 4 pm to Midnight (local time), gave satellite customers the freedom to enjoy a near unlimited data service for the first time.

Understanding what was ‘unmetered’ or ‘metered’ has always added complexities to monitoring and tracking data use.

The new Premium plans come with several exciting upgrades—most notably, an unlimited data allowance* for all online activities, available all day, every day! This means no more worrying about data limits, giving you the freedom to enjoy the internet as much as you want.

By eliminating ‘metered’ and ‘unmetered’ data, the need for households to monitor or ration their data use has been completely removed.

In addition, Premium introduces two new speed tiers: the Premium 50 and Premium 100 plans, which offer satellite users faster speeds on the Sky Muster service than ever before.

This change will impact all customers currently subscribed to the following Sky Muster Plus ‘Unmetered’ plans:

What Do You Need to Do?

If you’re currently on one of the ‘Unmetered’ Sky Muster Plus plans, there’s nothing you need to do now.

From the beginning of your billing cycle in March, nbn will automatically transition your service to one of the Premium plans based on your previous plan price. You’ll also have the flexibility to change your plan or speed tier if needed. This transition will be seamless, with no interruptions to your service.
