Free Internet for Eligible Students until June 2028
Activ8me is proud to be a participating service provider in the Australian Government’s initiative to provide internet free of charge to up to 30,000 unconnected families with school aged students until June 2028.
The School Student Broadband Initiative (SSBI) offers eligible students and their families free internet at home until June 2028. With this initiative, we are making it easier for more students to connect and access the tools they need to succeed in school.
We will provide free internet, as well as a free modem/router, to eligible families who connect with us.
If you’ve received a voucher from a participating organisation (it’s a code starting with ‘LOC’), call Activ8me’s Sales team on 132288 to connect your free internet service today.
What’s Included in the Program?
- Free standard installation by an nbn® technician
- Free nbn® compatible modem/router (A TP-Link vx230v)
Our modems come preconfigured to your connection type, so all you need to do is plug it in!
Depending on the nbn® technology available at your address, you will receive one of the following plans:
For nbn® Fibre addresses, our ‘Supersonic’ nbn® 50/20 with an unlimited data allowance.
For nbn® Fixed Wireless addresses, our nbn® Fixed Wireless PLUS+ with an unlimited data allowance.
For nbn® Sky Muster® satellite addresses, our nbn® Sky Muster Plus Premium 50 plan, which includes unmetered data use for all online activities.
Who’s Eligible?
To be eligible for SSBI, families must:
- Have a child living at home that is enrolled in an Australian school (up to year 12 including Prep in Qld/Vic/Tas, Kindergarten in NSW, Reception in SA, Transition in NT/ACT and Pre-Primary in WA).
- Not have an active nbn® network internet service at home. (Having a mobile internet service does not affect eligibility.)
- Live in a premises that can access the nbn network via an existing connection or standard installation.
- Not have had an active nbn connection during the previous 14 days.
How long is this service available to me?
Your SSBI service will remain active until the 30th June 2028. If you would like to cancel the service, please contact Activ8me on 13 22 88.
What Happens at the end of the 30th June 2028?
After the 30th June 2028, you will have the option of taking up one of Activ8me’s plans or cancel your service.
Who will contact me at the end of the program?
Activ8me will contact you to discuss your options. Rest assured, Activ8me will NOT start charging you for your service after the free service has concluded without your consent.
When Does this Offer Expire?
Customers are eligible to take up this offer until the 31st December 2025 (or until 30,000 services have been connected).
