July 29, 2015 1:22 amActiv8me was recently featured in separate write-ups from Bundaberg NewsMail and Gympie Times for its rapid expansion and growing presence in regional Australia.
Activ8me CEO, Tony Bundrock, said customers continue to reap the benefits of new nbn® Fixed Wireless technology for their homes and businesses as the National Broadband Network continues to widen its deployment and expand its regional footprint.
In its commitment to helping accelerate the activation of high speed broadband connectivity in both rural and regional homes and businesses, Activ8me continues to assist customers dependent on a reliable and robust service.
Residents and business owners in previously underserviced areas now have the opportunity to get connected through the NBN’s Fixed Wireless network.
Mr. Bundrock said customers migrating from satellite (connection) can now experience faster access to online content across the new coverage areas.Fixed wireless offers speeds of up to 25Mbps, which is equal to or better than urban areas with ADSL 2+ services.
Currently, NBN is piloting faster speeds of up to 50Mbps download. The pilot, taking place on the NBN’s Fixed Wireless long-term evolution (LTE) network features up to 50Mbps down and 20Mbps upload. Activ8me customers are taking part with a commercial launch anticipated in the latter part of 2015.
Activ8me’s valuable role in the acceleration of the NBN Fixed Wireless rollout in regional areas has not gone unnoticed.
As serviceable areas continue to be announced, Activ8me will keep on actively moving eligible satellite customers onto NBN Fixed Wireless, as well as new customers from NBN service areas.
