NBN Broadband, Oxley next on rollout list
November 2, 2014 10:18 pmThe National Broadband Network (NBN) announced the 300 homes and businesses that will soon receive the fixed wireless services in Oxley in the coming 12 months. This after announcing that the town is next in the NBN’s rollout list.
While Oxley does not necessarily qualify for the fastest fixed line Internet, residents and business owners will still experience faster broadband speeds through roof antennas with NBN’s connection box powered by its fixed wireless services.
Fences have been erected on Oxley-Meadow Creek Road as construction in the area gets underway. The NBN is set to be delivered across Oxley, including north towards surrounds of Tarrawingee and south towards Docker.
John Brown, Oxley resident and director at Brown Brothers, expressed approval over the news of the NBN rollout, saying Milawa could be one of the next towns to be tapped by the NBN broadband, with Brown Brothers agreeing to accommodate the tower on its land.
“The site is already being prepared,” Mr. Brown said.
