NBN Internet Arrives in North Lakes, Queensland

March 6, 2017 10:38 am

The National Broadband Network (nbn®) will commence its roll out in North Lakes, Queensland, this March, meaning fast, reliable and affordable internet will be available for service in the surrounding areas.
As reported by the Courier Mail, from March and early April most of the North Lakes and Mango Hill areas will have access to nbn® fibre to the node. Parts of Griffin are to follow by mid-year, and Strathpine and Bald Hills by the end of 2017.

Once available, residents can contact an authorised nbn® retail service provider such as Activ8me to make sure that they have a compatible VDSL2 modem.
Although not all areas of North Lakes will be covered by the 2017 rollout of the nbn, the construction of the nbn®’s public works is underway and the nbn® aims to deliver internet services early next year.
Copper wire will be used to connect the cabinet to the premises and an  nbn® spokesperson outlined a plan for continuous improvement of the technology in the area, planning to upgrade to DOCSIS 3.1 technology in the future, offering speeds of 10GB per second.
Reports stated Internet speeds will range from 12 megabytes per second up to 100 megabytes per second, dependent on the chosen nbn fibre to the node plans of the customer.
Fast nbn® broadband Internet provides countless benefits for Australians.  Activ8me can provide you with the right advice to connect you to the nbn®. To check availability, go to activ8me.net.au and enter your address, or speak to our Australian team on 13 22 88.
