Hardware
January 31, 2019 9:35 amActiv8me currently offers one wireless (Wi-Fi) router for our internet services.
Wi-Fi routers create a wireless network to connect devices to your internet service wirelessly (over a Wi-Fi network).
We previously offered other models, however have streamlined our offerings to ensure you can get the best performance out of your service.
The router we currently sell is enabled with Wi-Fi 6, offering faster wireless connectivity for more devices.
It is compatible with all nbn and Opticomm services, including FTTN and FTTB. Here’s how to see if a BYO router is FttN/B compatible.
It is also compatible with VoIP internet phone service. This allows a telephone handset to be plugged into the router to provide the telephone service.
We’ve noted key features like these on the information below.
Routers purchased from Activ8me are configured in our Melbourne warehouse to work straight out-of-the-box and are not locked to our network.

Bring Your Own Router
Activ8me’s internet services work with compatible third-party routers. If you have your own router or are happy using your router from your previous ISP (Internet Service Provider), you can do so at no cost.
As long as your BYO router is not locked to another ISP and is compatible with your internet service, then you’re free to use your own router.
Please note that our Support team can only offer limited troubleshooting and setup support for third-party routers.
