Check the NBN’s Progress in Every Suburb
August 13, 2014 7:18 pmThe NBN Co has released a revised checklist of every community, including suburbs in Australia, where the NBN is either up and running or still in progress. If you are still not sure about the services in your area, this list may help you with your decisions.
You may check this list to see if you are getting a reliable Internet connection. This includes communities where NBN services are already available and other areas where construction is still ongoing. These sites are broken down by Brownfields or the new development as well as the Brownfields or the established neighbourhoods for fibre and fixed wireless sites.
It is 74 pages long, which contains around 5000 different suburbs. You may simply use the “Find” feature (Ctrl + F) and key in the area you want to search.
News Breakthroughs
According to reports, the NBN project is now reaching around 170,000 homes and business in the NBN Brownfields footprint. Construction contracts for the structure of the network has been issued for around 290,000 Brownfields premises. All in all, there are now 195,000 families and businesses connected to the NBN across all access technologies.
Today, the NBN Co is doing their best to provide a fast and reliable Internet connection to every resident. They are aiming for 100% of Australian homes and businesses. You may also check out this map to see the progress in each area.
